So the Nike Air Yeezys are out by now, two colorways at the least, and there’s still one more official colorway that’s coming your way: the Net/Net colorway (some people like to call ‘em ‘tan’, it’s all good). The Net/Net colorway will drop at June 6th, 2009 and I will update you on that. Meanwhile, this upcoming launch makes me a little sad. It’s like knowing that you’re nearing an end of a great movie and I’m pretty sure I’m gonna miss all the excitements. And due to my blues, let’s reminisce the birth of Nike Air Yeezys.

The early Nike Air Yeezys prototype. Lovin’ the colorway but not too crazy about the sole. Looks too robotic to me.
So this is where Kanye came up with the pink-dominated insole. Cool nevertheless. I guess because of the black outline / stitching around the top, this one’s kinda looked skeletal. I’m intrigued what people will think should this be the final product. I am torn between loving it for its cartoonish look and hating it for its ‘theatrical’ aura. It’s like my feelings towards Kanye West and Amber Rose, really.
I really want to say I love this Black/Black prototype worn by Kanye on the 2008 Grammy Awards, but it’s not as good off-stage than it is onstage. You know what I mean?
So which one of these Air Yeezys prototype would you cop if they’re available for sale?
