This April, the Playoff Pack from Nike Basketball will come out which are available in white, black and red colorways. The six shoes in the Playoff Pack includes a Zoom Flightclub, Air Max Shot, Zoom MVP, Zoom Soldier 3, Foamposite Lite and the Zoom Kobe 4. Each dunk has their own badge representing an NBA Player. For the Zoom Kobe 4 obviously it’s Kobe Bryant, LeBron James for the Zoom Soldier 3, Steve Nash for the Zoom MVP, Tony Parker for the Zoom Flightclub and Dirk Nowitziki for the Air Max Shot up. The pack is all cooked-up for pre-orders in online stores so you better hurry, supplies are limited.

Nike Basketball March Releases

Watch out for the March releases of new Nike basketball shoes. On March 23rd, the Air Foamposite One LE will take its way to the shelves, while the Foamposite Lite, PE David West, Amar’e Stoudemire, and Caron Butler will be out on the 12th. The LBJ VI CTK, SVSM, Cavaliers Superman, Cavaliers, and Hornets made it on the 2nd, and the Zoom Kobe IV Rice and Lower Merion don’t have definite release dates yet, but these will hit the market within this month.

Food for thought: What would the legacy of the Air Jordan line be if Scottie Pippen was never around to help Mike win those six championship rings? Yep, we thought so. Sure, we can assume that MJ probably would have found a way to win, but he also may have just been remembered as a flashy high scorer who came short (just like when he scored 63 against the Celtics). That’s why it’s fitting that Nike has brought back the Nike Air Pippen 1 to pay homage to the Bulls’ #2 man, for the first time, no less. Scottie may have always lived in Michael Jordan’s shadow, but he was just as valuable as Worthy to Magic, McHale to Bird, if not more so. These sick 90’s retros will be back at UBIQ in-store tomorrow. It’s about freakin’ time, Nike!

OK, Kobe was crowned MVP this past year, he came up a bit short after an honorable effort in the Playoffs and Finals, but the new sneaker Nike has designed for him is sure to strike fear into the hearts of opponents like deadly venom. The Black Mamba is the deadliest snake on the planet. And, even though these snake sneaks are part of the Friendlies Pack, there ain’t nothin’ friendly about them… these kicks are mean! I have to say, with all the releases of the Hyperdunk from the McFly version to the Olympic PE versions, to this one; Nike hasn’t found a winning basketball shoe like this since the Huarache 2K4.
