Converse is set to release it’s One Star Ox to put some competition against the Nike Air Elan Pinnacle. They come in 3 colorways, tan, black and white, however there are two pairs of white ones, one with laces and the other with the 3 straps. All of them feature a depressed star on the side.

Tanabata (which literally means The Evening of the Seventh) is a Japanese festival of the stars, from the Chinese festival of Qi Xi. According to mythology ’starcrossed’ lovers, Orihime and Hikoboshi, are separated by the Milky Way and only allowed to meet once yearly, on the seventh day of the seventh lunar month. It was just a matter of time until Karmaloop got over to the Land of the Rising Sun, AKA Japan. With the Japanese and their love for streetwear, sneakers, hip-hop, and other flavor, this is a perfect pairing for both parties involved. It’s great that the Japanese don’t have to pay insane prices for streetwear anymore, and now they got more options than just Bape (i.e. LRG, Crooks & Castles, OBEY). And Karmaloop gets into a market where they’re more than welcome and almost desperately needed.
