Being considered as the Michael Jordan of street skateboarding, Eric Koston has earned a number of sponsorships, and Nike created him an exclusive line called the Nike SB Zoom Koston 1.

Although not his debut sneaker, Koston once again takes the pride with the latest Nike SB Zoom Koston 1 rendition. This time the shoe comes in an all-grey upper with a splash of dark obsidian as seen on the Swoosh. Like traditional skateboarding sneakers, this Zoom Koston 1 is designed with flat sole enabling a perfect land and grip. Not much of a complicated design but the construction remains unmatched and original. An exclusive Eric Koston 1 tongue label provides an elite mark.

Sneaker customizers have come up with some really great ideas to revolutionize the sneaker industry over the years, with some of their concepts even finding their way into general release sneakers after first being put into effect on a pair of customs. At other times, the only thing really called for on a nice pair of customs is a simple change of color. The latter is the case with this new pair of customs that used the Nike SB Dunk Low Eric Koston model as a base.

This sneaker customizing thought there was simply too much blue applied to this sneaker and decided to do something about it so that it would better suit his taste. He applied black to many sections of the shoe but still left a bit of blue around especially in the form of contrast stitching on the panels that he had already changed to black.

Today we are going to take a closer look at some detailed images of one of the shoes from that pack that really grabbed people’s interest. This is the new Eric Koston x Nike SB Dunk High Thai Temple QS.

With Thailand being the motherland for Eric Koston it only makes sense that he would honor his heritage with his first collaboration with the Nike SB team. The shoe features a lot of gold and gold-like colors all throughout the upper but manages to not come out looking too overly flashy or gaudy. The outsole will be gum rubber and will sit underneath a white midsole. The elephant Buddha print on the insole is a nice touch as well.

Everyone got pretty excited when they learned that Erik Koston would be joining the Nike SB team, as they knew that it meant there will be lots of great new colorways because Erik is a skater with an eye for fashion as well. To celebrate his new addition to the Nike SB team, they have just created this new Thailand Pack, which will of course honor the home country of one of the greatest skaters around.

The pack will feature both a Nike Dunk Low and a Nike Dunk High. The Low edition will feature a premium, high quality blue suede upper with a red inner lining and a gold Nike swoosh that is outlined in red all sitting atop a gum outsole and white midsole. Some more information on these Nike SB Dunk Hi x Eric Koston sneakers have just surfaced. It looks like they will have an all black upper that is predominantly suede apart from the leather section on the toebox. The midsole will be white and will come with three options for the gum outsole.
