Converse is celebrating its 100th year, part of its centennial gig is releasing kicks in honor of the Rock and Roll era. Anyone who admires Dwyane Wade’s fourth quarter play will be fascinated by these new basketball sneakers from the famous sneaker brand, Converse. Earning inspiration from Miami Heat’s guard, Wade 4 is said to be the lightest Wade shoe and is designed to support even the most dynamic player through its Support Technology feature. This Wade signature shoe with its design is a concrete symbolism of Dwyane’s impressive life. This can be purchased for $90.

Inspired by the Miami Heat guard Dwyane Wade, and a collaboration with Converse, is the Wade IV. Not only does it boast its weight, but also the Suspended Technology that provides cushioning to prevent impact forces. This is the lightest model of Wade so far, (14 ounces) which can make the player, “agile and explosive.” It has ventilation at the lateral and medial sides of the shoe for cool feet. This will be retailed for $90 and available in three colorways throughout 2008-2009 NBA season.

Converse’s legendary Chuck Taylor got a new slick design. Converse collaborated with high-end fashion retailer Barney’s of New York to come up with this new sophisticated look. The shoes are done with perforated leather in 3 colors black/gold, red, or white. $95.

Converse is giving tribute to the old-school music! Recently, Converse had a tribute to the American rock band The Doors. Now they will be releasing Hi-cuts that feature an artwork from the Legendary heavy metal band, Black Sabbath. It is a classic canvass sneaker with illustrations at the side heels. They are releasing a pair of Converse Chuck Taylors, that come with a black patent leather upper, overtaking the usual toecap and heel patch. Hints of red can be found in the upper along with a red line through the white midsole.
