In order to achieve another one of a kind form of sneaker, Puma teamed up with Mobility brand’s creative director, Hussein Chalayan. For the past seventeen years, Chalayan showed his own unique approach to design as being showcased in different exhibits. The rich, complex world, in which iconic pieces, key looks, art and film installations, fashion shows, projections and research are shown by side to illustrate Chalayan’s distinctive process. His work is characterized by an intellectual rigor and a quest for technical perfection that often defies fashion stereotypes.
By way of Puma, Chalayan was able to demonstrate his own interpretation of what’s unique in the world of sneakers. The Puma Urban Swift received Chalayan’s treatment that now highlights a killer-textured 3D spikes on the rear. Buttery soft soot leather in black covers the entire shoe and is complemented by patented Puma sole unit. Hussein Chalayan’s name is found embossed on the tongue as a gesture of paying homage to his excellent creativity.
