Every year since 2004, Nike partners with the Doernbecher Children’s Hospital to create an exclusive collection of sneakers. A group of young talented patients who have overcome serious illness are selected to join professional designers from Nike in the creation of authentic Nike shoes that are sold to the public in limited numbers. In 2010, the Nike x Doernbecher Freestyle VII Collection showcased six different styles, each with unique make-over treatment.
Among these distinctively-designed sneakers was the Nike Zoom Vomero+ 5 made by Claire Logue. With feminine touch, this particular sneaker appears in a mixture of materials such as plaid pink/white base with brown leather overlays, and green stretch panels in the midfoot and heel. The Swoosh appears in cow-like print with pink/white midsole, and graphic-printed inner lining. Claire made sure that her design would definitely satisfy the female group that’s fond of working out and running. This shoe is Nike+iPod Sport Kit ready.
