We first welcomed the Nike Toki ND in all-leather upper with heavy perforations. The generous amount of tiny holes injected on each upper is the shoe’s most prominent attribute, but like people, the Toki changes. Instead of leather exterior, the Nike Toki ND that we get to witness now possesses an all-nylon construction.
The Nike Toki ND is among the most stable styles we have seen so far but it seems like it is heading to a conclusion since the Nike Hachi ND has started stealing the scene. Whichever piece will prevail, let us accept the fact that Nike needs to upgrade its shoes in order to jive the pace of globalization. From leather to nylon – not quite a bad idea but it only shows that the brand is much concerned on the wearer’s comfort . Yes, leather-based is durable but nylon-made are much cooler and lighter.
The Toki ND bids goodbye in three colorways: matte silver, obsidian, and victory green fused with leather trims.
