As promised, Nike scheduled the release of the Hiroshi Fujiwara-designed Dunk High which first came up in black/purple color-up. The pair which was a Japan exclusive hit Nike retailers even outside the country. Perhaps reviews came up to be overwhelming with the positive impact so Nike made a follow-up release using another set of colors that will surely make a hit on shelves.
This time, it is not only Nike that holds the idea of the next colorway but artist Sk8thing made a contribution. By merging black premium leather and mismatched purple to construct the upper, a new image is born. The mudguard, lace panel, laces, Swoosh, heel, and inner liner appear in black while the remainder possesses the secondary color. Of course, the Fragment Design lightning bolt logo was never forgotten as it finds its coolest spot along the heel. Finally, white midsole with black outsole finishes the pack.
