While it may not be the most popular sneaker out of Nike’s lineup, the fact that the shoe has been around for 30 years and is still kicking is saying something in itself. In honor of this anniversary, Nike will release the sneaker in various colorways throughout the rest of this year. We have already seen a very nice version in anthracite and volt and now we are going to take a look at this new Nike Challenger Varsity Maize.
The upper on this sneaker will of course be predominantly varsity maize in color and will feature a mixture of suede, mesh and nylon. The nylon will cover the side panels, the suede will be on the toe area, midfoot and heel, while the mesh will be featured on the toe box. The Italy blue swoosh and heel tab definitely help to add some contrast to this very yellow sneaker.
