The great Phi Slamma Jamma 1982-84 basketball team from the University of Houston inspired the next Big Nike Hi LE. The plaid detail on the sneaker’s side panel and heel area is a tribute to the coach’s favorite plaid-designed coats. The upper which is mostly of Red and White represents the school’s colors with the Phi Slamma Jamma fraternity sign and silhouette of a player are seen around the ankle area.
