To promote the new Phantom 4D board shorts from Hurley, Nike’s apparel brand, there is a need to create a teaming product to back-up the promotion. So Nike never hesitated to dress up the Nike Air Max 90 with features based on the Phantom 4D. In order to satisfy the most wanted individuals this summer who are the surfers, Hurley developed the Phantom 4D board shorts which has key features like Nike Flywire, Nike Performance Water Repellency (PWR), and welded seam construction. The colors come very bright and with the futuristic design, Nike thought about applying the same characteristics to the Air Max 90.
To materialize the concept, Nike literally adopted the Flywire technology along with the blazing neon colors which now makes a perfect running shoe with the aide of dark –toned base. The threading are visible in green and blue that appear to be like rays of light in a dark room, a perfect representation of 4D while the midsole makes the biggest twist in its solid white surface. A neon green tongue label is even more visible during night time. This exclusive edition pays homage to the Salvation Malibu opening with a limited 500 pairs to drop. So if you want to have your own pair of this Phantom 4D-inspired Air Max 90, better stay tuned.
