From its debut in 1997, the Air Jordan XII maintained its original image. Several Retro versions were released that varied in color combination but not a total customization. Just recently, California-based Intrxn Footwear made a complete transformation on the shoe, applying a new distinctive design.
The originally plain and simple upper turned into an artistic structure which features a White leather perforated base with rib-like ankle panel, Red double strip along the midfoot, special midsole with Red Jumpman label and a Black panel sporting exclusive text recognizing its inspiration. An exceptional lacing system is also a trademark of this shoe, that instead of ordinary laces, string-like material was used as replacement including metal eyelets.
As Intrxn employed a unique pattern on the Air Jordan XII based on particular artists like Jay-Z, The Notorious B.I.G., Elvis, and Alexander McQueen, their influence on music was the focal of the custom. In addition, this sneaker is also characterized by its brand name that appears on the heel as well as the Jumpman logo and number “23″.
