The Air Jordan II, despite being obviously the second sneaker in the Air Jordan lineup has never been as popular as many of the other shoes from the series. When it first released many people thought it had a very bulky look to it when compared to that of the Air Jordan I and they would be correct, and some people still maintain that line of thinking. A new colorway of the shoe is all set to release though and it is a tribute to Michael Jordan’s days as a student athlete at the University of North Carolina, according to some.
Others will say that the shoe is a nod to his days playing for the Tar Heels, but it is hard to know who is actually correct. What is clear though is that the shoe will have a university blue upper that will be accented by black throughout.
