In both 1984 and 1992 Michael Jordan was wearing the number 9 for the Olympic games and in both of those years he took home the gold medal for the US. The 1992 USA Dream Team could possibly be the best group of basketball players to ever be assembled and remains that way to this day. The team was certainly memorable, but will the sneakers based on said team be equally as memorable? Only time will tell.
These new Air Jordan Flight 9’s will be a combination of all of the shoes that he wore in between his bouts of Olympic stardom. These shoes will feature a predominantly black upper with Olympic colored accents, although these are not what we would usually expect when talking about Air Jordan Olympics. Nonetheless, we like the colors going on in this shoe, but wonder if fans will take to the hybrid design.
