
Jordan Brand started to become Nike’s sub-brand in 1997, the year when it first released the twelfth Air Jordan model. During the 96/97 season, MJ’s signature sneaker has been the most durable among the Jordans.
The Air Jordan 12 was patterned from a 19th century dress boot which makes it look different from the previous Jordan releases. On the upper is an exceptional construction inspired by the Japanese Army and Navy flag that goes with the sun rays or the so-called Japanese rising sun flag.
This Retro release features a Varsity Red pebbled leather base with White on the remainder. And instead of Gold Jumpman lace holders, Silver was used. A Jumpman logo appears on the heel tab with the famous number “23″ branding below.
What gets real retroed is the outsole which now sports a Red ribbing at the middle and underneath it is a White/Black zigzag pattern. Is this the Retro you were looking for?
