One of the greatest wide receivers in NFL of all time, Randy Moss announced his retirement after playing thirteen seasons in the league. Moss made the announcement quietly, speaking through his agent, although he spent most of his career as one of the game’s most outsized, vocal characters. He played the first seven years of his career in Minnesota before a trade in 2005 brought him to the Oakland Raiders, then to the New England Patriots for a fourth-round draft pick. Finally, Moss returned to the Vikings but was waived by the team less than a month later, and claimed by the Tennessee Titans.
