Star Wars main antagonist, Palpatine is the unnamed Emperor of the Galactic Empire, a middle-aged politician of the Republic who rises to power through deception and treachery. Since the initial theatrical run of Return of the Jedi, Palpatine has become a symbol of evil and sinister deception in popular culture.
Now it is time to confront adidas for having a pair that depicts the dark side out of the Star Wars collection. The brand particularly chose the ZX 8000 model that later received a special treatment of Palpatine-inspired design called the “Emperor”. True to the Emperor’s personality, this shoe possesses black nubuck and mesh combination to make up the upper with tan inner liner. The adidas three stripes appear in teal while Palpatine’s power is being reminded by the teal energy bolts that race along the midsole. A hint of the same source of power is revealed on the quarter panel to show that evil resides in it. The glow-in-the-dark outsole is an additional interesting feature.
