Aside from Jeremy Scott, adidas boasts another excellent designer in the person of Yohji Yamamoto, an internationally known Japanese fashion designer based in Tokyo and Paris. Like Scott, Yamamoto is an influential fashion designer known with his Yohji Yamamoto (women/men) and Y’s lines that are popular in Tokyo and are also available at his flagship stores in New York, Paris, and Antwerp, and at high-end department stores worldwide.
Yamamoto’s work has also become familiar to consumers through his collaborations with other fashion brands that include adidas (Y-3). To fulfill his goal with adidas, Yamamoto created various sneaker designs that are expected to drop through the end of 2011. The adidas Y-3 collection features the calf-high Warrior boot together with the sleek Chelsea boot, the Desert boot, Dress Lace, and the Courtside. Each of these sneakers and boots own a patented Yamamoto design with the three stripes logo which mostly comes in black and white combination.
