The worlds of sneakers and automobiles don’t really cross all that much. Every once in a while you get a sneaker that is loosely based on a car but almost never the other way around. Adidas has really been going at it really strongly lately with all of their new releases so it is totally understandable that they would draw some inspiration from an outside source. For this new Adidas Originals Freemont Mid, they have taken their inspiration from American muscle cars.
The shoe, which will come in an iron and silver colorway, is meant to mimic the fine detail that seen on the inside of vintage hot rods. This is a cool concept and we think that they have pulled it off pretty well. The gray and silver all throughout the upper looks perfectly in place especially when placed atop the white midsole for just a bit of contrast.
